Is it a legal Organization?
It certainly is. Life is Art is registered as a non-profit Organization in Norway, with a Board of five committed persons.
Who are you?
We are a group of people from Europe and the US who met through an art-related online community nearly ten years ago. Our friendship and faith in each other have made dreams come true, and now we want to pay that forward.
What is The Spirit Lives On?
TSLO was a non-profit organization based in Denmark that arranged five international art-exhibitions from 2004-2008, when they sadly had to dissolve. Life is Art is the continuation of their work and effort.
Inspiration and creation
Is Art really a language?
We believe that artistic endeavour in any form is a communication tool – a language all of its own. Life is Art is dedicated to the promotion of this language and the conversations that it establishes. It is our firm belief that communcation through the arts can give us a whole new and different view of the world around us and promote better understanding amongts fellow artists.

I´m not a professional artist, can I still join?
You certainly do not have to be a professional artists, or even feel that your creations is anywhere near something called art. But we urge you to have some faith in yourself! Remember that what might seem as scribles to you, can be an inspirational experience for someone else. That is what makes life such a great thing – to be inspired and to create. To make a difference. No experience is a waste if shared.
I´m afraid my work is not good enough...
Life is Art is not an art contest; no one is here to critize your work. We will rather ask ourselves if your piece made us think. How did it make us feel? How did it touch us? We encourage you to do the same.

Can I make a donation?
We appreciate all donations art-related items for our charity auctions. More information here.
How can I know that the money I donate goes to a worthy cause?
Life is Art is a serious Organization that wants to reach out to people who need it, OF COURSE the money will be directed where it is needed. The majority of our community decide the causes, and we will transfer the donations directly to their desire of a legal charity.

Why would anyone want to buy a piece I created?
Simply because it is an extraordinary effort to donate a personal item, that the money will go to good causee and that what you consider “scribles” might be a breathtaking art-piece for someone else. Have some faith in yourself and help us make a difference!
Who decide what charities to make donations for?
The majority of our online community. Everyone has a voice; we listen to all of them.
